SEO content marketing writing

What will consumers find on your website?

You have three categories of text on your website:

  • Website Copy is sales-driven. It is designed to persuade. The focus is on products and services. Your homepage, service and product pages and landing pages are where you promote your business.
  • Web Content seeks to inform, educate and entertain. The focus is on site visitors and potential customers. Feature articles and blog posts are examples of Web content.
  • Basic business data gets you found in local searches and includes information such as your business name, address, phone number, business hours and contact information.

I provide writing services for the first two categories. (Obviously, you don’t need to hire a writer for the third.)

What I write:

  •  Feature Articles

Provide your prospective visitors with some insight into your industry. This type of content can take the form of a how-to article, a news item about innovations in your industry, an expert interview or a research piece that offers background and statistics. Generally, these are written in the third person point-of-view and address the who, what, when, where and why of a story.

  • Blog Posts

Less formal than an article, your company blog is where you can discuss your latest products or services, highlight your employees, tell the stories of your satisfied customers or offer advice and observations as if speaking to a friend. Blog Posts range in length from 300 to more than 1,000 words and may be written in a casual tone.

  • Crowd Funding Campaigns

Got a great idea? Tell a compelling story to attract investors.

  •  Website Copy

The story of your business starts with the text on the pages of your website. Here you tell visitors what you offer, why your offer it (your mission).  I can write the copy for a new website launch, or update the copy on your existing website.

  • Business Communications/PR Materials

Announcements, newsletters, brochure copy, employee handbooks — these all fall under the Business Communications category and may be writing for your website or for printed materials.

  • Editing/proofreading

I rewrite existing materials for clarity and readability. I provide a second set of eyes to catch problems with grammar, usage and mechanics.
